There is a calling...
and a hope that we shall hear!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.
We are the Branches of the Vine, an ecumenical non-profit organization. In keeping with our mission to support and maintain a sustainable presence for Christ, we have sought to offer medical and educational assistance in Ghana. In the last decade, we have worked to support a variety of humanitarian projects in the area.
Our upcoming projects include medical outreach, training and education, and roof renovations. We will also continue to support the St. Justin's Vocational-Tech school in Ablekuma. In completing these projects, we hope to provide aid that offers a consistent and sustained, positive impact on the people of Ghana. These goals are attainable, but we cannot complete them without your assistance.

Why Choose Branches of The Vine?

Branches of The Vine (BOV) is a non-profit independent organization dedicated to bringing the Gospel Jesus Christ to West Africa though programs of material aid, medical assistance, teaching, training, and prayer.

PROVEN EFFECTIVENESS

BOV or its predecessor organization has been involved in projects in West Africa since 1997. This has resulted in an effective organi zation, established relationships, pragmatic practices and procedures, accountability and results. Each of these is discussed in more detail below.

Organization
BOV is purely a volunteer organization. However, it has active participants across the USA, seven church denominations, including several clergy. In addition there are active participants in the United Kingdom and Ghana. These participants are coordinated through a fifteen member representative board that meets quarterly, and an eighteen member West Africa board of advisors and coordinators.

Established Relationships
Over the years BOV has developed excellent relationships in Ghana to assure proper project priorities, effective project execution and faithful accountability. These relationships include, among others, the Archbishop of West Africa (Anglican) and the Chancellor of the Ghana Embassy in Washington, DC. BOV has also demonstrated the ability and willingness to partner with specific churches and groups without compromising their identity or participation.

Practices and Procedures
BOV has sponsored projects involving just a single individual up to a multi-tasked team involving over sixty individuals. This includes logistics fund raising, project management (definition, approval and approach) and final accountability. We know what works and how to do it; with complete involvement of partnering organizations.

Accountability
All funds, whether raised private donations, church donations, corporate donations are fully accounted for and reported to the Board, Federal Government, donors, partnering churches and organizations and to the general public through its WEB page. If projects are funded without BOV supervision, say, construction of a school, then disbursements are supported by evidence of costs incurred and work done. This is all done within the context of the different cultures involved.

Results
BOV has produced results! And their continuing participation is sought after. The most obvious results are in capital improvements, such as wells and buildings for schools or churches. Not quite as obvious, but still very important are the services provided or put in place. These would include such things as medical examinations, food distribution, training, Bibles distributed, and worship and prayer services. A third, and possibly most important result is changed lives, both here and there. Testimonies to these experiences can be found on BOV website HYPERLINK "http://www.thebranchesofthevine.0rg" www.thebranchesofthevine.org and in our newsletters.

In Addition

BOV is a 501 (c) (3) organization. All donations are tax deductible. 95% of all money raised in 2007 went to mission programs and directly related expenses. None goes to finance BOV overheads or reserves.

Could you make a contribution to help our efforts in Ghana?
As we are a 501(c)( 3) nonprofit organization, any donations made are tax deductible.
Thank you for any assistance you can offer.
